Life is so peaceful at Sunsport Gardens that many people never want to leave, but if you would like to explore the surrounding area, there are many interesting activities nearby. Here are a few of our favorites:
The largest and oldest officially recognized clothing-optional beach in the U.S. is only an hour and a half south of Sunsport. Haulover Beach near Miami is a popular attraction for people from around the world. Thanks to the work of South Florida Free Beaches and the B.E.A.C.H.E.S. Foundation Institute, the beach is celebrating it's 25th Anniversary in July, 2016.
Blind Creek Beach
Experience a natural state of being at Blind Creek Beach, just an hour and 20 minutes north of Sunsport. More than a mile of pristine ocean beach has been officially desgnated for naturist use, thanks to the efforts of Treasure Coast Naturists in cooperation with local government. There are few services at this remote location, so bring everything you need for the day and leave only footprints. Remember that the dunes are off-limits to protect nesting sea turtles and other wildlife.
